Corporate Website |

Varian corporation retained us to redesign their corporate website. We were asked to come up with a new look and feel, and to develop a better navigational structure so that users could easily determine their location as they moved into the site. At the time, the client wanted to take a conservative approach that would complement their medical imaging business. (This site has since been redesigned).

Internet-Based Employee Survey |
|
We were contracted by a Fortune 500 company to conduct a worldwide survey over the Internet of the company's customer support employees. The project requirements included developing a database of the employees to be surveyed using raw data supplied by the company; sending out a mass emailing to all affected employees informing of them survey and providing access information; developing a database used to display the survey questionnaire over the web and to receive the results as each employee completed the survey; and developing the secondary databases used to correlate the survey results, which were also displayed over the web for review by the relevent manager.

Computer-Based Training (CBT) |

Ross Stores needed a way to effectively train their distribution center employees to operate the proprietary terminal-based system used for order shipping, tracking and inventory. Line personnel average a fifth-grade reading comprehension level and many are not native English speakers. Our solution was to produce a CBT that enables employees to learn at their own pace using an interactive approach. We recreated the functionality of the proprietary system within a friendly and fun training application running on Windows-based PCs, which enables personnel to take the training whenever they wish.
